2006 Award Results
In 2006 Miramonte Winery had a tremendous showing at the finest and most challenging international wine competitions.  While we don't pin our entire reputation on medals, scores or awards, we do believe that wines which show repeatedly at reputable competitions tend to be wines of special merit.

All in all, we earned 12 Gold Medals, 8 Silvers, 16 Bronzes.  About 90% of our submitted wines are medaled.  Almost all of our wines have received special recognition, and each of our signature wines are gold or multiple gold medal winners.

Our wines also received special recognition in the form of the following:

•   Four Chairman’s Awards
•   Four Best of Class Awards
•   Two Best of Region Awards
•   Best of California State Award
•   Critic’s Award
•   Innovative label Award

It is an exciting time to be a premium winery in Temecula.  An enormous transformation is taking place, as some wineries are working hard to lift the Valley from its winemaking adolescence.  New vineyards are being planted, and new winemaking science is being employed.  The success of Miramonte is clear demonstration that the the area is coming into its own.
